A unique experience raising funds to mentor young people
The Bail Out event is designed to raise awareness of the complex realities many young people face, including trauma, disadvantage, and pathways that can lead to youth detention.
In Australia, it costs on average $3,365 per day to keep a young person in detention, compared to just $9.78 a day to provide a young person with a trained mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Through an immersive experience at a real Prison — supported by presenters with lived experience of the justice system — participants gain insight into the impact of detention and the role mentoring plays in helping young people build positive futures.
Participants may arrive expecting a challenge, but leave with a deeper understanding of how we can help break the cycle for young people.
By getting locked up you get to support young people waiting for a mentor by raising your own bail!

How it works:
Register: Sign up and commit to raising at least $1000 bail for your ‘release’.
Experience Jail Life: On arrival, you’ll be stripped of your possessions, given a prison uniform, fingerprinted, photographed, and fed prison gruel in the exercise yard.
Mock Interrogation and Court: Face an interrogation before being sentenced to cell time with your gang or in solitary confinement!!
But it’s not all daunting, we break out for a debrief and well deserved fully catered dinner and drinks.

Light 2 Light
24th to 27 September 2026 | Sapphire Coast NSW
Join us on the newly upgraded, iconic Light to Light Walk in Beowa National Park on the Sapphire Coast. Over four fantastic days of walking and sightseeing, enjoy a spectacular diversity of landscapes and marvel at amazing rock formations, seascapes, headlands and bushscapes.
The Light to Light walk hugs the coastline between historic Boyd’s Tower and Green Cape Light station. It is regarded as one of the best far south of NSW walks. Enjoy this spectacular walk with just a day pack to carry your essentials. All meals and transport are included.
- Day 1: Bundian Way Story Trail 8km
- Day 2: Boyds Tower to Saltwater Creek 13.5km
- Day 3: Saltwater to Bittangabee 9.5km
- Day 4: Bittangabee to Barmouth Beach 10km
